MY REALSELF STORY

I consider myself a straight shooter.

I like to educate patients about things that can work. I was trying to build a Wikipedia of medicine when RealSelf came about, and I realized I could stop spending so much energy building something on my own. I started to add my videos and answer questions, and that’s when I really started to enjoy it. I found it was easy for me. And once I’d established my presence, it started to fuel itself.

To ask a busy physician to go online and dig for ways to connect with prospective patients would never work, but RealSelf makes it simple. I get a daily email pertaining to only the questions I’m interested in answering, and that short task actually drives results.

It’s very hard to tell sometimes how you’re getting a new patient. Did they just Google me? But I know that about 50% of my truly interested consultations come from RealSelf.

We do a lot of Coolsculpting. RealSelf is one of the only places online where we can highlight that we’re involved with new uses for this fat reduction device. I’m wowed by what RealSelf has done for me.

ASK YOUR PATIENTS TO WRITE REVIEWS

Many people aren't interested in airing their private cosmetic business or taking the time to write if they’re happy, so it's common that people agree to write reviews and then don't. But I know that the patient reviews people have written on your site have really helped.

HIGHLIGHT WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT

The more they know about you and your unique expertise, the more they’re likely to reach out.
